I look forward to meeting and working with you to reclaim America for you and your Children’s future. Slowly, step by step, the foundations of our country are being eroded, knowingly and unknowingly, before our eyes. It is time for discerning Americans of all races, ages and viewpoints to unite for our Freedoms.
My opponent, Mr. Lewis has been honored many times over for his role in the Civil Rights Movement. But today, a new uprising needs to take place to fight against a new oppression - out of control government. Mr. Lewis is a Washington Establishment, having spent over a generation in Congress. We honor that accomplishment.
However - today - he is out of touch with the real people of the 5th District. This race is not about voting party lines -- it is not about the color of your skin or your physical orientations. This election is about voting for the person who best represents and will listen to the people, the families and businesses of the 5th.
The 5th district needs a Representative who knows what it is like to make payroll and operate a business in today’s economy, knows the struggles and needs of young families and the importance of educating our children to be able to think. I have lived, worked, raised a family and voted in the 5th district for 20 years. I know and understand the needs of ALL of the 5th.
You deserve a Representative who wants your children to grow up in a United States of America where their dreams can become a reality and not be snuffed out by an oppressive, overburdening government and enormous taxes they must pay.
Mr. Lewis is not this person and cannot change into this person overnight. He is proudly a member of the Democratic Socialists of America who votes party lines almost 100% of the time regardless of the issue or its implications. He votes against legislation like tax cuts which have historically proven to create jobs and a prosperous economy.
I urge all citizens; Democrats, Republicans and Independents, to put aside personal biases to closely examine my background and my position on the key issues. I submit that if you want fresh, effective and independent representation, not chained to a certain party, who will listen to you and work hard to put America back on track, I will be your choice. Thank you for your vote on November 2nd, 2010.
